The simple stuff

Booking terms

Nothing scary here — just a clear, friendly note of how things work, so we both know where we stand and your cat gets the best possible care.

Who I look after

I care for indoor cats in dog-free homes only. I'm allergic to dogs, so I'm unable to visit homes with a dog present. Cats are my sole focus, and it's where all my experience lies.

Flea & worming

Please make sure your cat is up to date on flea and worming treatment before your first sit — indoor cats need this too. It protects your cat, every other cat I visit, and my own two girls. If fleas or worms appear during a sit and need treating, that's arranged at the owner's cost.

What I do (and don't) do

I'm your cat's maid, not your housemaid. My visits are entirely about your cat: feeding, fresh water, litter, play, medication and a good welfare check. I don't do grocery shopping or general housework, and any cleaning I do is cat-related only (their feeding area, a litter mishap). Please leave out any cleaning supplies I might need, as I don't bring my own.

Visits & what to expect

We'll always start with a free, no-obligation meet & greet so your cat and I can say hello and I can note their routine. I'll follow your feeding and care instructions closely and send photo or video updates after each visit. I don't offer overnight stays, as my own girls need me at home, but I'm happy to come late enough for an evening or late-night meal to settle your cats for the night.

Keys & your home

Keys or entry details are kept securely, labelled only with your cat's name (never your address), and returned or securely held as you prefer. I'll treat your home with care and respect, and as an indoor-cat owner myself I'm naturally door-conscious to keep your cat safely inside.

Medication

I'm happy to give medication that can be mixed into food or water — liquid meds, powders or capsules added to meals, and prescription or renal diets. I don't offer hands-on medicating such as pilling by mouth or injections, as this needs a cat who's comfortable being handled and is safest done by their owner or vet. We'll go through exactly what's needed at the meet & greet, and I'll always be honest up front if something isn't right for me.

Health & emergencies

If your cat seems unwell, I'll contact you straight away. With your prior consent and an agreed spend limit, I'll take your cat to your registered vet (or the nearest available) if urgent care is needed. An out-of-hours emergency vet run after 10pm is charged at double rate. Please leave your vet's details and an emergency contact at the meet & greet.

Payment

Rates are as shown on my rates page. Payment is due as agreed at booking. A small surcharge may apply on bank holidays.

Cancellations

Life happens — just let me know as soon as you can if your plans change, and I'll always be as flexible as I'm able to be. For longer or peak-season bookings I may ask to confirm dates in advance so I can keep your slot.

A note on trust

I'm fully insured and my DBS check is in progress. Your cats, and your home, will be treated exactly as I'd want my own to be cared for. If anything ever isn't right, please just tell me — I'd always rather know.

Any questions at all, just get in touch — I'm happy to talk anything through.
